We are writing property coverage for non-residential properties in South Carolina and Texas, with effective dates beginning December 1, 2020. The non-residential program is expected to be available in Louisiana during the first half of 2021.
Who is Eligible?
The coverage enhancements and new property program for non-residential risks open up significant opportunities for our agency partners and their insureds. Some of the eligible classes include nursing homes, business class or resort hotels, houses of worship, mercantile buildings, rehab centers, offices, strip malls, shopping centers, retail stores, flex space buildings, and light industrial properties. Now, our agency partners can offer the sound risk management practices, best-in-class service, in-house claims staff and financial strength of AmCap Insurance for more than just commercial property residential risks.
What is Covered?
Standard coverages include:
- Condominium Association Fees - including extra expense coverage
- Emergency Patient Evacuation Expenses
- Property Enhancement Form which provides over 15 coverage additions
Optional coverages include:

- “Fungus”, Wet Rot, and Bacteria
- Sewer Backup
- Wind Driven Precipitation
- Fine Arts
- Equipment Breakdown
